British actor Sam Phillips is slowly gathering momentum in the acting world, with a part in Thomas Vinterberg's recently released film Far From the Madding Crowd under his belt, starring alongside Carey Mulligan, Tom Sturridge, Michael Sheen and Juno Temple.

Phillips, who's also appeared in theatre productions of Much Ado About Nothing and History Boys, will soon be seen on the third series of BBC One's popular drama The Syndicate, playing the role of Spencer, stepson of Lord Hazelwood (played by Anthony Andrews). With his sights firmly set on building his list of credits in both film and TV, this talented newcomer is one to keep an eye out for in the future.
